1. You search a jazz standard, but you have no idea in which real book you can find it. RBS will give you the list of real books and the page number.

2. There are over 2000 jazz standards listed in the app. You can add new real book indexes from the forum.

3. You can build play lists with your favorite songs and send these playlists to your friends.

1. Where do you get other book indexes?

You can import indexes from different sources: Forum, EMail, .....

2. How many books can be imported at once?

You can select more than one book to import at once.

3. Can you import your own book index?

Yes, you must use this syntax (title; book; page;):

         <NewRealbookIndex>
         Afternoon In Bern; MyExampleBook; 2;
         All Of You; MyExampleBook; 3;
         <\NewRealbookIndex>

or this (title; book; page; composer;)

         <NewRealbookIndex>
         Afternoon In Paris; MyExampleBook2; 2; John Lewis;
         All Of You; MyExampleBook2; 3; Cole Porter;
         <\NewRealbookIndex>

4. How can I copy a book index from the forum?

a) Search the book index in the forum.

b) Select the book index text. Hold your finger 2 seconds
on the screen of your IPhone (IPad) to select the whole
index text. If the index text is not correctly selected,
try another spot.

c) Make sure all text or more is selected. RealBookSearch will only read from <NewRealbookIndex> … to <\NewRealbookIndex >, the rest will be ignored.

d) Press “copy” to copy the text into the clipboard.

e) Open the App RealBookSearch and go to “Real Books” and
click on (+) to add a new book.

f) Click on the button “Import Real Book”.

g) You get now a message: “Correctly imported book…”
which shows your book is now available on the device.
